LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
Alana Helman is an LPC that has spent many years working with children and their families in a residential, home, and outpatient setting. Alana has a passion for working with families to help create a more positive environment and a strengthened relationship between parents, caregivers, and their children.
Her experience comes from a variety of diverse treatment settings including: Pressley Ridge and Wesley Family Services. In that time she worked with children in foster care, reunification cases and children in the juvenile justice system. She has worked in the home setting, residential treatment facilities for children placed outside of their homes, and outpatient clinic settings.
Over the years Alana has also worked with adults, teens, and children with a variety of diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her mission is to help end the stigma of going to therapy and normalize the process of seeking help. She is trained in various models of CBT (including trauma focused CBT) as well as structural family therapy, and parent child interaction therapy (PCIT).
